Langhorne Power Outages Caused by Weather

Another severe thunderstorm knocked down trees and wires in Langhorne Township. The combined severe thunderstorms caused about 12,000 homes and businesses to lose power throughout Bucks County on the 12th.
A severe thunderstorm knocked down several trees and wires across lower Bucks County across Middletown, Langhorne and Lower Southampton Townships. In Lower Southampton Township, one tree crashed through the roof and into the master bedroom of a home. A grandmother pulled her grandson off the bed just as the tree came crashing through. The grandson just suffered a cut on his hand. In Middletown Township, healthy trees were snapped and struck three moving vehicles on Woodburne Road (Pennsylvania State Route 213). No injuries were reported. A skylight and several windows were broken at nearby Oxford Valley Mall. Several roads in the township were closed because of downed trees. Several mature trees were also snapped in Langhorne Township. Penny to nickel size hail also fell from the severe thunderstorm in Middletown and Langhorne. About 12,000 homes and businesses lost power in Bucks County.
