Severe thunderstorms produced wind damage and dropped 1 inch hail across parts of Montgomery County. Trees, power lines and some power poles were reported down in Hillsboro, Taylor Springs, Donnellson, and Coffeen. One inch hail was reported by storm spotters in Irving. One house in Taylor Springs suffered major damage from a downed tree. The roof of a home in Coffeen was also damage by a large tree limb.

Storm spotters estimated wind gusts near 70 miles an hour near Litchfield. Some trees and power lines were down. Some trees and power lines were also reported down in the Nokomis area.

May 24, 2004

AWOS at Litchfield Municipal Airport measured a 60 mph wind gust. Some pine trees were snapped off and a pickup truck was damaged by debris southwest of Raymond on Cottonwood Lane. A large tree fell on power lines in Harvel causing a power outage. Large tree limbs and power lines were also reported down in Nokomis.
