A half mile long stretch of power poles was blown down between Macomb and Industry.
A high-end EF1 tornado uprooted and snapped large trees and destroyed outbuildings at two farmsteads, and snapped some power poles. The tornado was on the ground for about 5 minutes.
The second of two tornadoes quickly developed and snapped power poles before hitting a farmstead, where it snapped trees and destroyed outbuildings. The tornado was on the ground for about 4 minutes.

A powerful storm system moved across eastern Iowa into southwest Wisconsin, sweeping a strong cold front through the area during the afternoon hours of Thursday, April 20th. A line of thunderstorms developed quickly along the front, with some of them surpassing severe thresholds producing hail up to the size of a golf ball.||An EF1 tornado tracked to the northeast for about 6 miles starting just east of Morrison, IL just before 3 PM CST.
A large complex of showers and thunderstorms progressed across southeast Iowa into west central Illinois during the afternoon of July 17th. These storms produced damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph at times, causing damage power lines, crops, and uprooted or damaged trees. Additionally, torrential rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches were reported.
A powerful line of thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front in Iowa during the late afternoon and moved into northwest Illinois during the evening hours of August 28th. The line of thunderstorms produced damaging winds mainly north of Interstate 80. There was a swath of more intense damage in Whiteside County with damage to power poles and crops. There was also heavy rain with this line of thunderstorms, with widespread reports of 2 to 4 inches.
Low pressure and a cold front moving into eastern Iowa on March 8, 2009 produced a severe thunderstorm in western Illinois during the early morning hours. This storm produced damaging wind in McDonough County with power poles snapped and some trees damaged. Winds were estimated over 60 mph.
Strong low pressure tracked from Oklahoma to northern Illinois on December 27, 2008. Unseasonably warm moist air flowing northward ahead of the low, combined with a strong cold front approaching from the west, triggered isolated severe thunderstorms in western Illinois.|These storms formed during the morning hours while temperatures were in the lower 60s. Near Carthage, power poles were snapped and half of a barn roof was blown off. Near New Philadelphia, an EF0 tornado with winds estimated at 80 mph, briefly touched down. A garage was destroyed with the debris field extending about a third of a mile.
