Portion of brick facade blown off residential structure and a tree blown down into power lines in the city of Kenner.
Power Boulevard was impassable with around one foot of standing water covering the roadway for approximately one quarter of a mile.
A tornado touched down just north of the river and south of the airport in Kenner and took the roof off a large building. It was noted the roof material was severely corroded and rusted. The tornado moved north and convergence in downed trees was seen just to the east of a cemetery. The tornado continued to track north- northeast, with trees down near the railroad tracks and power lines down just north of the tracks, where it looks like the tornado lifted.
Damaging thunderstorm winds downed multiple trees and powerlines near Arkansas Avenue and 37th Street.
A power pole was reported blown down near City Hall on Williams Boulevard.
A large tree was blown down near Pheobe Hearst School in Kenner. The tree also brought down power lines.
News footage showed a power pole blown down onto two occupied vehicles on Gretna Boulevard near Sams Club. Broadcast media reported injuries to two occupants of the vehicles.
Newscast footage of wind damage was noted on the West Bank on Helis Drive. A NWS survey of East Bank damage started near Jefferson Highway and Andrea Street in River Ridge, with spotty minor tree damage up to Mike Miley Park on David Drive. Tops of power poles were snapped with transformers and power lines downed along Dickory Avenue in Harahan. Path length 2.6 miles, path width 50 yards. Event times were estimated by radar. Damage was consistent with low end EF-0 damage, estimated winds 70 mph.

Local broadcast media reported damage to seating and a covering/pavillion at The Shrine on Airline Field. The covering also blew into a power line and caused damage.
Minor property damage was reported with two carports ripped off homes on Mt. Revarb Drive. Rear car windows were also blown out, with tree and power line damage as well. Tornado was rated EF0 with maximum winds of 65 to 70 mph, and a path width of 20-30 yards.
A tornado touched down in Kenner near the intersection of Audubon Ct and 3rd St. It moved toward the northeast causing damage to roofs and power poles. It lifted as it neared the intersection of James St. and Pollock Plaza.
A weak tornado., along the leading edge of a squall line, touched down at the levee of Duncan Canal north of West Esplanade Avenue. Two wooden power poles were bent near an apartment complex. The storm tracked to the east-southeast with mainly light tree damage, and one area of light roof damage on Grandlake Boulevard. The tornado then crossed Canal Number 17, and lifted the roof off of the back porch of a house on Tulane Drive. On the opposite side of Tulane Drive, another house had a small portion of its roof ripped off. The tornado continued to the east-southeast and crossed West Louisiana State Drive and bent over one wooden power pole, and snapped a second one. The tornado then uprooted a hardwood tree in front of a house on West Loyola. The most significant damage occurred at the corner of Loyola and West Esplanade, where multiple wooden power poles and a few trees were snapped. The tornado then quickly lifted as it crossed West Esplanade. In addition to the tornado, sporadic light tree damage occurred south of the track. A large portion of the facade of a hotel on the corner of Loyola and the Interstate 10 Service Road was damaged due to straight line winds.
Five power poles were snapped on Acron Street.
A short lived tornado touched down near the intersection of West Loyola Drive and Joe Yenni Boulevard. The storm moved nearly due south along West Loyola causing minor to moderate roof damage to about a dozen homes. The tornado also downed power lines, knocked over light poles, and ripped large limbs off of several large oak trees. A few of the limbs were upward of 18 inches in diameter. The tornado lifted shortly after crossing the intersection of West Loyola Drive and Vintage Drive. Sporadic straight line wind damage was also found in surrounding areas. Estimated peak wind speed was 90 mph.

Power poles and trees leaning on a house with additional roof and siding damage to at least 2 other homes on Park Drive South.
Several trees and power lines down were blown down in Old Metairie, and a gas station awning was blown down.
Fifty power poles were snapped along Manhattan Blvd. Minor structural damage was observed on numerous buildings. The Walmart on Manhattan Blvd had major roof damage.
The greatest concentration of damage was in Gretna on Manhattan Blvd, where nearly 1.8 miles of hail and wind damage occurred. Over a mile of power lines were either snapped or pushed over by these winds. An awning was blown down at the Manhattan Place Shopping Center, which damaged several cars in the parking lot.
A couple of power poles were blown down. Minor fence damage was reported along Joe Yenni Boulevard. A few trees were uprooted and one tree fell onto the corner of a house on Platt Street. Traffic lights were twisted on Joe Yenni Boulevard. Maximum wind was estimated at 70 mph. The tornado moved into Lake Pontchartrain.
A power pole was blown down across Causeway Boulevard near 45th Street.
A tree and power line were knocked down near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Bonnabel.
Power lines and telphone poles were knocked down in Metairie and Marrero.
Trees and power lines were blown down.
Lightning strikes knocked out power to about 2,200 customers.

Everybody on my street have power
Have been without power in Metairie at Whitney Place Condos since 5:30 PM on Wednesday, 10/28/20. No repair trucks or linemen even working anywhere in my area! Repair trucks and linemen all parked in the Clearview Mall parking lot doing nothing since Thursday morning! Entergy is as bad as the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board. Entergy tells you anything they want when asked for a time for power restoration. Sine Thursday, 10/29/20, I have been told anywhere from a few hours to 10 plus days or more. Ridiculous!
Out about 5:30pm. Approx. Time back on.
All power cut off at about 1:45 am on 10/09/20. Why?
