Strong Wind. Nearby ASOS and AWOS sites reported wind gusts as great as 60 mph. Frequent gusts of 40 to 50 mph from west and northwest were observed in the area through the early afternoon. These wind gusts resulted in instances of tree damage and subsequent power outages.
