Winter Storm. Wet heavy snowfall reports included an estimated 11 inches eight miles north of Amasa and nearly 8 inches in Amasa. The wet and heavy snowfall brought down trees and a few powerlines causing some power outages. Schools were closed throughout the county on the 1st due snow-packed roadways and treacherous travel conditions.

Winter Weather. Wet snowfall totals over northern Iron County were estimated to be 4 to 7 inches during the event with locally higher amounts near 10 inches. The wet snow combined with north winds gusting near 40 mph at times caused some tree damage and knocked power out to nearly 600 customers. One to locally four inch snow amounts were common over the southern part of the county.

Thunderstorm Wind. A public report via Facebook of lost power due to big trees falling down. Power still wasn't restored as of late morning.

Thunderstorm Wind. There was a report of a swath of 20 trees knocked down laying on top of each other on someone's property. Power lines were also reported down with the tops of some trees sheared off. This was a delayed report and the time of the event was estimated from radar.

High Wind. The Iron County Central Dispatch reported many trees and power lines down with widespread power outages throughout Iron County. One report detailed trees down on power lines on Bible Camp Road and US Highway-2 near Fortune Lakes and Bewabic State Park.
