May 9, 2002 - Thunderstorm Wind
A line of severe thunderstorms moved east across Shelby County. Numerous trees, tree limbs and power lines were blown down. A mobile home 3 miles south of Oconee was moved two feet off its foundation but remained upright. The winds also destroyed a utility shed at this location. No injuries were reported.
