Episodes
A complex of storms rolled across portions of northeast Iowa during the evening of June 2nd. Some of these storms produced damaging wind gusts. Trees were blown down in St. Ansgar and Osage (Mitchell County) and power lines were downed in Stacyville (Mitchell County).
A small tornado touched down during the evening of July 16th southwest of Osage (Mitchell County). The tornado damaged three farms along its path where it flipped and damaged a garage, destroyed a barn and damaged house siding from flying debris. In addition, several trees and powerlines were downed and crops were damaged.
Straight-line winds estimated at 65 to 70 mph caused a farm shed to collapse, knocked down power poles and trees, as well as caused widespread damage to crops.
