Thunderstorm winds caused a wide swath of damage across Macoupin County. Numerous trees, tree limbs, and power lines were blown down in Modesto, Palmyra, Girard, and Carlinville. In Carlinville, a retirement home and an apartment building sustained minor to moderate roof damage.
