Starkville Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Several trees and power poles were blown down in Starkville over a 15 minute period due to strong gradient winds before a line of showers came through, and with the line of showers. A tree fell onto a house and injured one occupant. Two vehicles were damaged by fallen trees. A large rotted tree next to Davis Wade stadium snapped and damaged a few cars.
Tropical depression force wind gusts downed a few trees and power lines across the county.
Several trees were blown down including one that fell on power lines on Cardinal Lane and another across New Light Road.
A tree was blown down onto a home along Lakewood Drive. The tree also took down a power line.

The squall line moved across Oktibbeha County and caused damage in and around Starkville. The County Courthouse sustained roof damage and many roofs around town had shingles pealed back. Dozens of trees were blown down, some crushed cars and several others took down power lines.
