Victoria Power Outages Caused by Weather

Numerous trees, tree limbs, and power lines were blown down between Galesburg, Altona, and Victoria.
A swath of wind damage cut through Knox county. The winds produced considerable tree, power line, and crop damage. Numerous structures were also damaged along the path, primarily due to falling trees and tree limbs. A man was killed in the Victoria area by a falling tree. Seven injuries were reported in the Galesburg area due to the storm, at least one due to a falling tree.
A tornado touched down 3 miles northwest of Victoria and traveled to the northeast. As it reached the intersection of 2500N and 1700E, it destroyed one farm building and damaged two other farm buildings. It continued to move to the northeast lifting 4.5 miles north of Victoria. Several trees and power lines were blown down as well. No injuries were reported.
