Sheriff dispatch reported trees down on a power line along Hummingbird Rd near Great Circle Dr.

Calhoun County Dispatch reported that multiple trees fell which downed power lines on Old State Rd between Spanish Moss Dr and Branham Branch Rd.

The tornado touched down near the Orangeburg and Calhoun County line near Pasture Lane. The tornado moved east-northeast for about 6.5 miles. The tornado lifted just before Highway 6 near Kings Grant Rd.||The most significant damage occurred along Sikes Rd near Belleville Rd and extended eastward to Mossdale Rd. A row of power poles along Sikes Rd and Mossdale Rd were snapped near their base. Several structures were heavily damaged. This includes|several barns...large metal storage buildings with anchors removed from the ground and roof damage to homes. There were numerous hardwood and softwood trees that were either uprooted or snapped along the path of the tornado. A pivot tilt irrigation system along US Highway 176 was overturned.

Law Enforcement reported numerous trees and power lines down closing roads throughout the county especially in the St. Matthews and Brookdale communities. Numerous trees and power lines were down as reported by SCDOT along SC-642 Dorchester Road, Wire Road, US Hwy 15, Givhan's Ferry Road and most other roadways connecting Calhoun County with Dorchester and Berkeley Counties. Tri-County Electric Cooperative reported power outages affecting 122,000 subscribers within the county. Additional reports gathered by NASA Earth Observatory published a summary from Utility Companies indicating that a combined 98 percent of customers in the county were without power at the peak of the storm. USDA reported significant cotton crop damage.

HAM radio and storm survey found trees down, stop signs bent over, uprooted trees, powerlines down, and a home significantly damaged from a tree falling on it.

NWS Storm Survey confirmed a HAM radio report of a tornado touchdown southwest of Ft. Motte. An EF1 tornado with winds of near 100mph took down numerous trees and powerlines, damaged a farm, and rolled over a large section of a field irrigation system. Nickel size hail was also reported.

The tornado moved northeast across Broomstraw road where several outbuildings lost roofs or were destroyed.
