An intense bow echo moved through Canton, blowing down numerous trees, tree limbs and power lines. A 62 mph wind gust was measured at Lock and Dam 20.

December 18, 2008 - Ice Storm

Ice accumulations across Lewis County ranged from 1/4 inch to just under 1/2 inch. Tree limbs were reported down and their were scattered power outages.

June 25, 2008 - Thunderstorm Wind

Thunderstorm winds associated with a line of severe storms moved south across Lewis county. A large tree was blown over on U.S. Highway 61 north of Canton and a power pole was blown down onto Route 6 at the intersection with Route DD.

Ice accumulations across Northeast Missouri ranged from 1/4 inch to near 1/2 inch. There were tree limbs down and scattered power outages.

January 5, 2005

A combination of sleet and freezing rain fell across parts of Northeast Missouri causing dangerous conditions. About 1/4 inch of ice accumulated on surfaces, causing some large tree branches and power lines to come down. The main roads were slick in spots while secondary roads were ice covered.

Thunderstorm wind gusts downed trees and power lines in Canton and La Grange. In Canton, a tree fell on a mobile home nearly splitting it in half. It was the third severe storm to cause damage In La Grange in two days.
