Cordova Power Outages Caused by Weather

Trees and power lines were downed at Shillings Bridge Rd and Ferndale Rd. Time estimated.
Trees and power lines down at Bamberg Rd (US Hwy 301/601) and Poppy Rd. Time estimated.
A thunderstorm downburst with straight-line winds occurred just northeast to east of the Town of Cordova. Strong winds uprooted and snapped several trees. Multiple trees were down on Cordova Rd between Cherry Hill Rd and Rivelon Rd. On Cannon Bridge Road, a canopy and sign at a convenience store were snapped from their mounts, blown a short distance and completely demolished. Roof damage to several structures was also observed. Power poles were leaning and power lines carried down by wind in the area.
Emergency manager reported trees and powerlines down from Cordova to Holly Hill. Significant structural damage occurred in Bowman to a couple of business and a couple homes had shingles torn off.
