Multiple trees and power poles are down in the area from a thunderstorm.
Several broken power poles were reported by Beauregard Electric Company in Deridder and Rospine causing numerous outages.
A couple trees were downed along parish line road and one fell onto power lines.
Freezing rain pushed into the region before sunrise on the 17th. 1 tenth to 3 tenths of an inch of ice had accumulated by the end of the event causing power outages and hazardous driving conditions.
Wind gusts to around 75 mph and heavy rainfall lead to numerous downed trees and power lines across the parish. Mostly minor flooding was encountered across the parish, however heavier rain fell in the eastern sections and totals ranged from 5 to 15 inches. Bundick Creek reached moderate flood stage.

In a 5 mile wide swath, 7 homes were damaged from winds, a church roof was damaged by a fallen tree, several barns were damaged, and numerous trees and power lines were blown down.
Some trees and power lines were downed.
A small tornado touched down in wooded area near DeRidder, turning over an 18 wheeler and blowing down trees and power lines. One home received shingle damage to its roof. This tornado continued into Vernon Parish.

Beauregard Parish is suffering a power outage this morning, according to the Beauregard Electric outage map. Particularly DeRidder and other areas such as DeQuincy, Dry Creek are facing anywhere from 10-200 people without power.
