Power line pole was snapped causing power lines to cross the 2700 blk. of N. 1st Ave. (Hwy 78). A tree (20-24 diameter) was also broken off in the 1800 blk. of N. 1st Ave.

Episodes
A powerful closed low across New Mexico and West Texas brought numerous thunderstorms and heavy rainfall to the region on the 21st. A few tornadoes were reported along with severe straight line winds and isolated large hail.
Strong wind shear and marginal instability were in place as a powerful shortwave trough provided lift. Numerous thunderstorms developed across the area, with several hail and damaging wind reports late on the 24th into the 25th.
A large area of thunderstorms developed over the Texas panhandle and moved east-southeast through the southern third of Oklahoma. The complex became better organized as it moved towards Cotton county, where a gust to 58 mph was measured. As the thunderstorms moved east into south-central Oklahoma, another area of high winds developed, causing extensive damage in the Durant area. A couple of homes sustained major damage, with several others reporting minor damage. Numerous trees and power lines were downed by the strong winds.
An upper level storm system rapidly moved into Oklahoma on the afternoon and evening of the 8th. A severe thunderstorm moved northeast over Bryan county. Marginally severe hail and strong winds were reported with the storm. A few outbuildings, power poles and power lines were damaged. Monetary damages were estimated.
The remnants of Hurricane Dolly finally moved into eastern Oklahoma by the 30th, after meandering through the area for three days. A cold front moved quickly through the state during the afternoon hours. A line of thunderstorms developed along the front over parts of eastern Oklahoma, with several becoming severe with high winds and torrential rainfall. High winds to near 65 mph caused some damage to trees and power lines in isolated locations. Monetary damages were estimated.
