Franklin Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
A weak tornado touched down in Izard County, roughly 2.3 miles east-northeast of Franklin. Winds were estimated at 100 mph. Two mobile homes were overturned, as well as a travel trailer. Several homes sustained roof damage. A pontoon boat was overturned and another was destroyed at Horseshoe Bend. Numerous trees were blown down or snapped off. Some power lines and power poles were also knocked down. The tornado moved northeast into Sharp County.
