French Camp Power Outages Caused by Weather

This tornado touched down a few miles south of the Stewart community, where it began uprooting and snapping off thousands of trees. Many structures were heavily damaged by falling trees along the path. A few homes and barns were directly damaged by the tornado's winds. Several power poles were also snapped. Maximum winds were around 120 mph.
Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the central portion of the county. Some of these trees were down on homes and across roads. One tree fatally injured a person at Jeff Busby Park. This person was camping in a tent when the tree was knocked down.
This tornado touched down just west of the Poplar Creek Community and headed off to the northeast. Thousands of trees were snapped off and uprooted. A few trees fell on homes, sheds and small barns causing substantial damage. One power pole was snapped and some trees fell across power lines. The tornado crossed into Choctaw County were it dissipated. Maximum winds were around 115 mph. Total path length across Montgomery and Choctaw Counties was 11.5 miles.
