Several waves of low pressure developed along a quasi-stationary front over southeast Georgia on April 2 2009 and promoted shower and thunderstorms over the area. High moisture in the atmosphere and slow movement of the low pressure waves resulted in a few storms producing heavy rain and isolated locations of trees down on power lines.
