May 25, 2015 - Tornado

National Weather Service Storm Survey Team determined that damage in Rusk County was consistent with that of a tornado. An EF2 tornado touched down approximately 9 miles west southwest of Henderson, Texas in Rusk County and traveled in a east northeast direction before lifting approximately 10 miles east northeast of Henderson, Texas. Numerous trees were snapped and or uprooted along its path. Several powerpoles were snapped as well. Several homes in and around Henderson suffered minor to moderate damage mostly from fallen trees.

April 11, 2012 - Tornado

An EF0 tornado first touched down near the intersection of County Road 471 and 468 where a tree was snapped. The tornado continued southeast crossing CR. 468 where several trees were snapped on both sided of the road. Some of the trees fell across 468 and on the powerlines nearby. The tornado lifted as it crossed Hwy. 79, seven miles southwest of Henderson, Texas where 2 trees were snapped on the north side of Hwy. 79.
