Riverside Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Hundreds of trees were damaged in Riverside, including trees blown down, snapped and uprooted. Many roads were blocked by fallen trees. Eight houses were damaged by falling trees, including homes in the 200 and 300 blocks of East Quincy Street. A large tree was uprooted and fell onto a house on Lawton Road, severely damaging the home. Utility poles and powerlines were also blown down. Numerous roads were blocked by fallen trees and tree limbs. Numerous trees were blown down onto the railroad tracks near the Riverside station.
A 500 foot to 1,000 foot wide path of tree damage was reported through much of Riverside. Power lines were also blown down.
