Scattered thunderstorms ahead of a cold front moved through portions of southwest Georgia. A couple of storms were severe with impacts to trees and power lines.
A strong cold front moved through the region during the afternoon hours of March 17th. A squall line preceded the front, resulting in a few instances of trees and power lines down across the tri-state area and some roof damage in Sylvester. In addition, a few tornadoes occurred across the Florida panhandle. Fortunately, these tornadoes impacted forested areas and no structures.
Early evening thunderstorms on the 6th downed several trees and power lines across portions of Worth and Lee counties in southwest Georgia.
