The Upson County Emergency Manager reported numerous trees and power lines blown down across the far northern part of the county from around the intersection of Weems Road and Smyrna Church Road to Highway 19 near the Pike County line, Rocky Bottom Road, and Piedmont and Mud Bridge Roads in The Rock.

The Upson County Emergency Management Director reported that at least eight trees were down in the northwest part of the county near Georgia Highway 74, northwest of Pickard, and at least four trees and several power lines were down just north of the Rock near the Pike county line. Doppler radar base velocities were around 60 knots at 4000 ft above ground level in these thunderstorms.

The Upson County Emergency Management Director reported that several trees were blown down across the north central and northeast part of Upson county, especially in The Rock area and on the east side of Thomaston along Georgia Highway 74 toward Yatesville. Four trees were down within the city of Thomaston blocking some city streets for several hours. A couple of other roads in the northeast part of the county were also blocked for several hours from downed trees. Up to 1500 residents of the county were without power until afternoon. Amateur radio operators estimated wind gusts to 60 mph in The Rock area.
