A severe thunderstorm knocked down several trees and wires in the Waretown section of Ocean Township. Power outages were reported along the U.S. Route 9 corridor.

A squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms knocked down several trees and power lines in Waretown (Ocean Township), Toms River (Dover Township), Berkeley, Manchester and Jackson Townships. In Berkeley Township, a downed tree damaged a home. In Toms River, a trampoline was tossed onto a roadway. The Silver Bay Elementary School was forced to run on generator power because of a power outage. About 500 homes and businesses lost power.
