Thousands are still without power Wednesday as outages in West Virginia and Ohio stretch into a second day amid a heat wave. In West Virginia, more than 21,000 Appalachian Power customers are still without service as of 1:20 p. m. Wednesday. More than 4,300 customer outages are reported in Kanawha County, followed by 1,300 in Lincoln, about 1,100 in Cabell, about 1,100 in Putnam and more than 900 in Mason.
