Seven power poles were blown down near FM 503 and FM 504. Trees and brush had to be cleared from FM 503. The trained spotter reported everything was blown from west to east. Winds were estimated at 85 mph.
Three power poles were snapped about a mile south of FM 765 and US Highway 283 intersection.
The damaging thunderstorm winds were estimated at 60 mph and knocked down tree limbs and power lines.
A coop observer reported numerous power poles snapped at the base.

Thunderstorms developed near a dryline in association with a surface low pressure across the Southern Plains and an upper level storm system approaching from the west. The storms were most numerous across the southern half of West Central Texas. Quarter to golf ball size hail occurred across McCulloch County with wind gusts to 60 mph reported in Brady. High winds also caused damage to trees and power lines in Junction.

U.S. natural gas production and demand will rise to record highs in 2022, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) on Tuesday. EIA projected dry gas production will rise to 98.07 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in 2022 and 99.69 bcfd in 2023 from a record 94.57 bcfd in 2021. The agency also projected gas consumption would rise from 84.01 bcfd in 2021 to 88.39 bcfd in 2022 before sliding to 85.08 bcfd in 2023.
