November 16, 2011 - Thunderstorm Wind

The Cobb County 911 Center reported that several trees, at least six, were down across the east central part of the county near Smyrna and Marietta. Power outages were also noted in the Powder Springs area in the southwest part of the county.

June 18, 2011 - Thunderstorm Wind

The Atlanta Journal-Contstituation and the Cobb County 911 Center reported that dozens of trees were down throughout the county. A 55-year old Marietta woman was killed instantly when a large tree fell on her vehicle while traveling along Powers Ferry Road. Many power outages were noted around the county for up to four hours in some areas.

May 26, 2011 - Thunderstorm Wind

WSB Television of Atlanta and the public reported that up to 50 trees and dozens of power lines were down across the county, especially the eastern portion. Damage was quite significant in the Smyrna area, where several roads were blocked form downed trees, including major roads such as South Cobb Drive and Cumberland Parkway. A 19-year male resident of Mableton was killed following the storms when a large tree fell on him while trying to clean up another tree that had fallen during the storms.

April 4, 2011 - Thunderstorm Wind

The Cobb County 911 Center reported that a second area of thunderstorm wind damage was observed in the southern part of the county. Several trees and power lines were down from Austell to Mableton and eastward toward the Fulton county line.

The Cobb County 911 Center reported widespread and extensive damage from downed trees across the southern portion of the county, from Powder Springs, to Austell, to Mableton. Several of the trees fell on homes and a number of power lines were also brought down as well. Over 1000 residents in the county were left without power following the storms, in some cases throughout the night.
