October 27, 2020 - Ice Storm

About a 1/4 to 1/2 inches of ice accumulation was estimated on trees, power lines and objects. This resulted in power outages near Roby and Rotan. Tree limbs and power lines were down across Fisher County. Schools were closed on October 27, with a 2 hour delay on October 28.

June 23, 2017 - Thunderstorm Wind

Fisher County Sheriff's office reported 5 power poles blown down on Farm to Market Road 540 and 1 power pole down on State Highway 92.

December 26, 2015 - High Wind

According to Big Country Electric Cooperative, 65 power poles were downed by the high winds and the weight of the ice on the power lines. High winds estimated from 40 to 50 mph with higher gusts for a prolonged period knocked down these power poles.

Damaging thunderstorm wind gusts peeled a section of a metal roof off of the Baptist Church, uprooted numerous trees and knocked down power lines in Rotan.

Forgot to state we had a sand storm, then went to lightning and thunder to rainy!!! Anyone else having this issue on this nice humid evening?
