Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 65 to 75 mph caused widespread damage across Gillespie County in the evening. Trees were reported to have been knocked over from Doss to Fredericksburg to Stonewall to Willow City. Almost all parts of the county were affected, with widespread roof damage and reports of farm machinery rolled and tossed by the storms. Power was out to over 2,000 persons for several hours.
