More than 2,000 power outages in Nashville, more across the Midstate Wednesday afternoon | WZTV

Power outages have been reported from several electric companies in Middle Tennessee Wednesday afternoon. The outages come as FOX 17 News is in a Code Red weather alert for extreme heat across the Midstate. Nashville Electric Services (NES) currently has over 2,000 customers with power outages for the second day in a row. Stay up to date by checking back at their power outage map here. Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) reported over 100 power outages in Rutherford County alone.
