Syracuse Power Outages Caused by Weather
Events
Numerous large tree limbs blown down across town. There was power lines downed, and significant shingle damage to numerous homes. The roof of a local church was also partially removed.
Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at over 70 mph uprooted about a dozen trees and caused other widespread tree damage in the Syracuse area. Some of the downed trees damaged homes and businesses in the region and also downed power lines. Some outbuildings were also destroyed.
This tornado was the 2nd of 3 in Otoe county this night. The tornado was only on the ground 1 mile but did take the roof off of a shed and downed a few power poles.
