A severe thunderstorm snapped five utility poles along U.S. Route 46 in Parsippany. Downed power lines fell onto parked cars. Nearby workers were escorted out of buildings, away from the downed poles. The roadway was closed to all traffic between Baldwin Road and North Beverwyck Road.
