The County Sheriff reported trees and power lines down in west and south St. Clair. The roof of the Budget Motel and the roof of the office of Belmont Homes were also damaged. Just south of Union downed trees blocked Highway 47. The top of a utility pole was snapped off at Highway 100 and International Avenue in Washington. The road had to be closed for several hours. There were also scattered large tree limbs down and some business signs damaged in Washington.

June 13, 2005

Thunderstorms winds downed trees and power lines in Washington and near Union. In Washington, a tree fell on a home on Roberts Street. Two people inside suffered minor injuries. The County Sheriff reported trees and power lines down just west of Union.

August 27, 2004

Local law enforcement reported numerous trees and power lines down across Northeast Franklin County just west of the St. Louis County line. Most of the damage happened in the Pacific area. Numerous trees and large branches were down in a couple of subdivisions. Several homes and automobiles were damaged by the trees. One home under construction lost the second floor in the wind. At least 2 businesses suffered some roof damage. A Taco Bell sign was blown down and ended up in the parking lot of a neighboring McDonald's.

My wife has a serious lung problem, and is on a nebulizer , and other breathing equipment 4 times or more per day With this hot weather her breathing is seriously compromised.
